Dancing Spaghetti

On the 15th of January 2010 we where doing an experiment called Dancing Spaghetti.

We went in group’s of three and four’s .

We used spaghetti, vinegar, bicarbinate soda and water .

We used different types of measurements with water, vinegar and bicarbinate soda.

We put the water then vinegar then broke up pieces of Spaghetti all added up to  the measurment of 100 mls in a long cylinder.

Some peoples experiment over flowed.

We found that when you mixed vingear and bicarbinate of soda together there was a chemical reaction which made carbon dioxide which made the spaghetti dance.

The lovely veiw from our classroom window!Today not alot of people could make it to school, but we stiil had alot of fun! The snow is awesome, everyone is enjoying it!  When we were playing outside, alot of people enjoyed making snow men, GIANT snowballs and snow angles.  It was realy cold, so we all had to wrap up nice and warm. I don’t think that any one wants the snow to go! Every one had alot of  fun out in the snow!  But you do have to keep your selves safe. :) By priya.

Snow Haiku

We had to do a poem about snow on the trees and do a spider gram to describe things that are white.
Then we wrote this Japenese Haiku:

Tree sneezing snow balls,
Splat! On the slippy surface,
Lonely lying there.

James and Cameron.

Milk Bottle Tops.

A man from British Recycled Products came into our class and did a deal with Miss DD that, if we could collect enough WASHED milk bottle tops then we can exchange them for a recycled park bench. In order to do this we need to collect 13 bin bags full so we need everyone to collect as many milk bottle tops as they can. We have also told the man from Radio Aire to ask his crew to collect them so we would appreciate it if everyone reading this would bring your washed milk bottle tops to :Bramley St Peters Primary School so that we can have our park bench. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!

Number Fun Man Visit

IMGP3727
Dave Godfrey, otherwise known as the number fun man visited our school yesterday. He was really funny, he sang songs about maths and he told the story about Jesus. A song that a lot of the children enjoyed was his own version of the 12 days of Christmas. His songs are aimed at making maths enjoyable and helping you to learn new stuff. Everyone had fun dancing and singing.

Milk bottle top collection

Our school is collecting milk bottle tops so we can send them off to be recycled. Hopefully we will get a picnic table made out of the bottle tops we send off. We have to collect about 13 bin bags full of them though! Then the man from British Recycled Products(Jason Elliot) says some of us can go and see the picnic bench being made at his factory in Halifax. If you’re at a school in Leeds and can help, please get your teacher to bring us any plastic milk bottle lids you collect, remember to wash them first. We are in Bramley, LS13 3NE. Hope you can help X
